Experiential Consultation Services
Through my experiential consultation services, I provide support to therapists and other helping/healing professionals to build capacity for meeting clients with authenticity, presence, and groundedness. I integrate methods from a variety of experiential techniques, including psychodrama, expressive arts, and internal family systems (IFS), to support professionals in meeting their individual goals.
Experiential consultation sessions involves using experiential techniques, including improvisation, role reversal, parts work, and artmaking, to:
explore challenging cases, and develop ideas and plans for moving forward in our work with clients
get to know how our internal systems impact us in the workplace
reflect on our experiences with burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma
build skills for self-care and resilience in the workplace, and explore how to meet our emotional needs in order to better show up for our clients
process counter transference as it arises in our work with clients
develop reflexive practices to support ongoing learning and reflection throughout our professional practice
practice negotiating and holding boundaries in the workplace
build capacity for embodiment, to improve our ability to track our own and our clients’ experience
integrate knowledge about our personal healing into how we show up as professionals in the workplace
reflect on our theory of change and how it informs our professional practice
I also provide educational and consultation services to providers who are interested in integrating experiential methods into their own work with clients, including expressive arts therapy and internal family systems therapy.
I also enjoy offering group-based experiential consultation. Experiential consultation groups allow for growth and learning in community with other therapists and helping professionals, and can also help us build connections with other clinicians. Connection and community can be an invaluable way to build resilience and prevent compassion fatigue.
